I worked on various project for client Cisco in creating Deal Operations tool for product quotation and a customer portal for feedback on Deal Operations tool
Challenge
As the Lead Designer on a key transformation project, I played a pivotal role in revolutionizing how Cisco Product quotations and calculations were managed. Previously, these critical operations relied on Excel, presenting a clear opportunity to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and user experience. My responsibility was to guide the shift from this traditional method to a more sophisticated, user-friendly internal portal: the Deal Operations Tool.
In close collaboration with a skilled team of two other designers, we thoroughly outlined the entire process, ensuring every aspect of the Excel-based system was seamlessly integrated and enhanced in the new web-based environment. This initiative was more than just a digital transformation; it was about reimagining how our team engages with data and providing them with a modern, accessible, and dependable tool. The outcome was a flawless, intuitive platform that not only quickened workflow but also raised the bar for our operational efficiency.
Results
In so doing, we have managed to come up with a portal that really eases the process of creating, retrieving and monitoring quotations in quite a big way. We did a tailor-made approach, considering the fact that each requirement had different users, it included designing custom interfaces for several managerial roles, developed in order to meet all and only the given specific requirements.
With such a custom-design strategy, every manager will have an intuitive and thus highly effective interface to enable him or her navigate through and manage request for quotes with astounding ease. A hint of our commitment to feasibility and user-friendliness can be found in any aspect of the portal. Everything starting from initiating a quote up to the final steps of tracking and status updates has been developed with refinement so as to be able to provide an unfailing responsive user experience.
With focus to such user specific enhancements, we have come with a more cohesive and adaptable system - one that doesn't just meet but exceeds to the operational needs of our team that are so vividly diverse in nature. This next-generation portal represents a giant step-change in the way we manage and interact with our data setting new benchmarks of operational excellence and customer delightment.
